Dom was dressed nicely in a pair of slacks and a black button up shirt when he showed up to pick Rachel up for their dinner date. Date, it was like charting whole new territory again but he was looking forward to it. He rang her bell and waited for her to come to the door.

It felt like she'd spent the last hour with nothing but a towel wrapped around her body as she got ready and tried to decide which dress to wear. She'd probably pulled at least twenty out of her closet and tried on, finally settling on a short, snug, red dress and heels since Dom towered above her. She was finally ready to go and when she heard the bell, she grabbed her little matching purse and answered the door, smiling when she saw Dom and giving him a quick look over. "Oh wow, you...you look handsome." she smiled, "I'm ready to go but did you wanna come in?"

"Wow, I think I might be under dressed. You look absolutely amazing." Dom grinned giving her a nice slow look over.

"Thank you." She smiled up at him and knew he was checking her out, glad he liked what he saw. She didn't agree with him being under dressed and quickly let him know. "Noooooo you're not, you look good. I've been wanting to wear this. Am I over dressed?"

"No I think you look perfect." Dom grinned at her. "I picked out a nice place and think I'll be the envy of everyone there."

She look down at herself and smoothed her hand over her dress before looking back up at him, a bashful grin on her face. "Thank you. I'm looking forward to see where you picked but don't tell me, I wanna be surprised."

"Ready to go then?" Dom offered her a smile.

"Yes, I am." She smiled and walked out the door, letting him shut it as they headed out to his car.

Dom's hand rested on the small of her back as they got to his car and he opened the door for her. "Here you go."

"Thank you." she said with a smile, wanting to make sure she got into his car without flashing him. She sat down and turned her body into the car, effectively not revealing anything. Reaching for the seatbelt, she buckled herself in and watched him as he got into the car. "This is a nice car."

"Thanks me and my dad put this together when I was a kid." He bucked in and smiled over at her starting it up. He loved the sound of it rumbling to life.

"Did you have fun working on it together with him?" Gee Rachel, ask another question with an obvious answer. When he started the car, she startled a bit and then chuckled quietly. She liked 'pretty' cars and cars that sounded good like this one. She just didn't know a thing about them. "Oh, I like the sound of that."

"Yes I did." He grinned at what she said and pat the dashboard. "She's my baby."

"You guys and your cars." she grinned, though she had to admit it was a pretty damn nice car. "Does she have a name?" As far as she knew, all guys named their cars.

"never got around to naming her actually." He looked over at her and chuckled at her comment. "Fast cars, adrenaline, and beautiful women are my vices."

She gasped and looked over at him, "You mean you've had this car since you were a kid and you never named her?" She was teasing, it was easy to do with him. "How's that going for you?" It wasn't asked in a smartass way, just a curious way for her.

"I was lacking in the beautiful women department. Until this woman brought me food last night." He grinned.

"That was nice of her." she grinned, "She hated seeing you all alone for Christmas and it gave her a reason to stop and talk to you."

"Lucky me." He winked playfully before he pulled out. The place he took her was nice. It wasn't super fancy but it was up there. "Here we are."

"Lucky her, too." she grinned, glancing over at him from time to time as they made small talk on the way to dinner. "Oh wow, this place is nice. I've always wanted to come here." She always felt she needed a reason and out on a date with Dom was the perfect reason.

"Then I picked well for our date." Dom was pleased that she seemed happy with the choice.

"You did. This is gonna be nice...good food and good company." she smiled over at him, unlatching her seat belt.

"Night definitely looks promising." He smiled and opened her car door for her after he got out.

"It does." she agreed, getting out just as smoothly as she got in without flashing anybody, Rachel smoothing out her dress and tugging down a bit. "Thank you." It wasn't very many men who would even think of opening a car door for women anymore. It just made her admire him that much more. "Have you been here before?"

"never, have you?" He smiled as he walked with her to the door of the restaurant.

"NO, this is my first time." she smiled, walking ahead of him through the door and checking the place out.
